The best choice

We stayed 3 nights in Hash behest and we have enjoyed it very much. After having travelled for more than 3 weeks in Iran, I can say that it was our best hotel very well located 5 mn from the Imam square. The couple at the reception was great and very helpful, for taxis, bus reservation, money changer. The apartment was perfect for 3 persons and the breakfast exceptional : fresh fruit juice, eggs, fruits, tomatoes, cucumber,cheese.....Perfect place, perfect people. If we ever come back to Esfahan, no doubt this is where we'll stay. Thank you for your welcome.

Shocking

My family booked two nights in advance for a family room.On the day we were supposed to stay there they called us and told us they had no room for us. The hotel said that things like this happen always and they just booked us in a other hotel. My family were disappointed about what happend

What shocking service

After getting our guide to book two days in advance and receive confirmation, on arrival we were told that they were full. Were pointed in the direction of another hotel but the attitude was just unacceptable.

Great hotel and great service

This hotel is very well located and close to most tourist places. The room is spacious and clean. It can be noisy because the street nearby is very busy and there is no double-paned windows but there is air-conditioning.The owner and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We left our passports in the hotel in Yazd and the HBA staff called them and ensure that they would send the passports in Ispahan. They can also arrange a pick-up at the airport, even early in the morning. This is by far the best hotel we stayed in Iran. We loved it so much that we stayed there twice when we came back in this fantastic city. Thanks again for the great stay!

Nice, clean hotel close to the centre of Esfahan

Hasht Behesht is a nice, clean hotel close to the centre of Esfahan. It's about five minutes walk from Naqsh-e Jahan Square and Chehel Sotoun. The rooms have a kitchenette with basic cooking facilities and a small dining area. This was perfect for us as we wanted to reduce costs by not dining out all the time. There is no dining room in the hotel but a breakfast and dinner menu is available and is served in your room. The staff are friendly and helpful. Reception is manned around the clock. There is a resident taxi driver who also seems to be available around the clock. His rates are a little less than the average in the city. This hotel is a very good option for the budget-conscious traveller.

Spacious, central, and what a bargain!

I often rent apartments instead of hotels when I travel at home, so I knew well what to expect. But Hasht Behesht Apartment Hotel exceeded my expectations.BOOKING AND CHEK-INBooking was promisingly easy and fast.I googled the hotel’s web-site and filled in the on-line form. Then duplicated my request by an e-mail to [--] The response came the very same day: I was offered 2-bed suite originally priced at EUR42 with 20% discount, for EUR 34 per night. Web address attached to the signature was not the one I found, but http://www.hbahotel.com/EnIndex.htmHowever, when I arrived, the manager was away, and the person on duty failed to find my reservation. “My” apartment was (certainly) available, and he agreed to show it. Although it was nice, there was very loud noise from the opposite apartment – children crying, adults arguing; not something I would want to hear all night after the long day on the road.I asked about the other options available and was shown a fabulous spacious 3-beds suite on the other side of the same floor. But the best part was yet to come. In response whether I could get a discount for the hassle of lost reservation, I was offered to pay for it... USD 40 per night. What a bargain for such location and so much space and comfort!LOCATIONCould only be better if the hotel was on the Imam Square itself!Location is fantastic: ideally balanced between the most important sites. It takes just a few minutes of an easy walk to get to either Naqsh-e Jahan (Imam) Sq. one way, or Zayanderud River with its famous bridges the other. Hasht Behesht Palace is at the end of the street with a small city park starting right behind the corner. Chehel Sotun Palace is in a minute walk away. Abbasi hotel that I recommend for at least one dinner is couple of blocks from it.Despite the big signs, both on the building (in English) and above its entrance (in Farsi), many drivers had difficulties finding the hotel. It is situated in the lane a bit off 8 Ostandari Ave. Drive from Ferdowsi Str. towards Naqsh-e Jahan Sq., along Ostandari, which is one-way street, and this lane will be to your left.THE HOTELThe ground floor of the hotel hosts reception and a small lobby, with a TV, tea tables and some sofas. It is said to have free wi-fi here in the lobby, but I didn’t check it.Apartments are situated starting from the first floor, and can be reached by both an elevator and stairs. There are also some stairs at the entrance to the hotel. The parking space in front of it is very narrow.APARTMENTI love having much space, so 3-beds suite was heaven. The apartment looked quite modern, pleasantly decorated and was clean, spacious and comfortable. There is one separated bedroom, while the rest of the space is conditionally divided into the kitchen zone, living room zone, and extra sleeping zone. The bedroom is large, with two narrow beds joined together to form a king-size bed, so the sleep was comfortable enough. The only downside, but just like in many other hotels in Iran, is the synthetic linen giving small static charges. Several windows face a quiet alley, but the view isn't too scenery.Kitchen is equipped with a gas stove lightened with matches, an air vent, a sink, and some cupboards. Dishware and cutlery is available as well as a kettle and a teapot. A small set of tea bags and coffee sticks was pre-served, although I had my own stock of both. The living zone has a sofa (rather hard) in front of a TV, several arm-chairs and a coffee table on a carpet. Right next to it, the third, very narrow bed is situated. There are two bathrooms in this apartment, equipped with an air vent system, one with a European toilette (and sufficient toilette paper), the other with the shower. The shower is not separated from the rest of the bathroom even by a curtain. The slippers to be used in the bathroom stand ready by its door, like in Iranian homes. There are some toiletries as well as bathrobes offered (look in the closet). The whole apartment is well lit, with isolated lighting of different kinds in every zone.Being from the cold country, I thought the heating system worked excessively, probably due to the winter season. Luckily, it was possible to open windows in the bedroom and the kitchen as well the balcony door, so I could easily create the most comfortable climate. All amenities were relatively modern, and everything I used functioned properly.BREAKFASTThere’s no in-house restaurant, so the breakfast (USD 5) is ordered outside and brought to the room on the tray every morning. The typical set of meals served in many traditional Iranian hotels – flat bread, some cheese, jam and honey – was extended here by an orange and some juice. Tea and coffee were the usual Lipton bag and Nescafe stick, just like everywhere. As I said in another review, if you are a coffee-maniac like me, do bring your own coffee to Iran! The same is about tea.I would have found it inconvenient that the breakfast couldn’t be served before 7:30am; I prefer to start earlier. However, availability of kitchen has fully compensated this inconvenience. I was able to cook as well as to enjoy delicious coffee and tea taken from home as early in the morning and as late at night as I wanted to.SERVICESince this is not really a hotel, do not expect all the usual hotel services here. However, most of the guests’ requirements can be accommodated in this or that way.Housekeeping seems to be done upon request. I was asked if I wanted one the very next morning after arrival. It is possible to hire a driver through the hotel – I was offered one, but preferred to walk. There don’t seem to be much staff members there, but everyone I met was very helpful and extremely nice. One of the ladies who served breakfast was even as kind as bringing me some sour-cream from home on the top of the typical set. Looks like when a lady is staying, only a lady can enter the room; so not only my breakfast was always served by ladies, they also helped me to bring my bags down before departure.Except for the very first night of arrival, my impressions were entirely positive.RECOMMENDEDIf you do not require the full set of the typical hotel services, but seek spacious comfortable accommodation in a terrific location for more than reasonable price, I can definitely recommend Hasht Behesht Appartment Hotel. I would gladly come back myself.

A good option for families

Hasht Behesht Apartment hotel was well located (5 minutes walking to the center) with very helpful staffs and receptionist but it was messy and unquiet to some extent. The rooms' facilities were quite good.

Management Issue

I've stayed three night at this place with my family. We asked to clean the room by changing the Room label to clean and two times reminding the reception which seems it is Owner's brother. We was shocked when we back late night into the room as you can read as following:1. they come into the room, clean the Kitchen dustbin, but not Toilet and Bedroom.2. they just order the bed sheets and not else, even the cushion we drop it on ground at night was same when we back.3. Towels was not changed and no toothbrush, shampoo, body wash and etc.Plus, the bathroom / toilet sinkhole smell bad all the time.the day after, four employee plus their supervisor came in front of rom's door and start arguments about my last night complain to the security with my family while I was steeped. the supervisor said, customers do exaggeration about service and weaknesses and it seems we did wrong to complain about the issues!????When I did check out, cleaners supervisor came to me and start again, which here is hotel Apartment and shouldn't expect too much, you will get service as much as you pay and you pay more in Hotel like Abbasi and will get more service!??? and show me the employee card which he fine him due to this issue. In conclusion, The management issue is obvious and cleaners supervisor is rude person due to try to put all their weakness somehow on customer. Next time I will go to Hotel abbasi definitely, thanks for his advise! This Hotel got TripAdvisor first hotel sign already but I doubt on how they can get this with this kind of service!???

Incredible value and hospitality

This was my first ever accommodation in Iran. The first thing I want to say is that the rooms do not do this place justice. When you are inside the apartment, it has a lovely homely feel to it.Incredibly spacious and safe, I instantly felt relaxed and in holiday mode. There are a few apartments on every floor but I rarely heard anyone. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They will help you get a driver or show you were to get your money exchanged (about 200 metres up the road). In fact, their driver picked me up from the airport at 2am.Breakfast is fantastic but a lot of food. I could not finish everything. There is a convenience store next door which makes it great to pick up extra water or some snacks. There is a fantastic cafe called Namakdan Cafe down the road. It has great food. a sumptuous marsala chai latte, and a fabulous open courtyard. Easily my favourite cafe in Iran.Overall, this place is a fantastic stay and I would definitely stay here again.Thank you Hasht Behesht Apart. Hotel for making my first stay in Iran amazing.
